Solved Clarification on Founder Recovery options?

Post by Caurinus November 25th 2012, 4:33 pm

Hello,

I was reading this topic in possible preparation for taking over the foundership of a forum, but noticed that I would have to obtain permission from another administrator of the forum to be accepted as founder.

If all of the other administrators have been absent for as long as the founder (at least 6 months and 1 day), would I still have to try to get the permission of one, or would they also be considered as gone and my request for foundership would be valid without their permission?

Thanks! Smile

Since how much time have the other admins not logged in either?

One has not logged in for seven months, and the main administrator has not been online for almost ten months. The only other administrator does not display their online status but has not shown any sign of activity for over five months, and I'm currently waiting until six months and a day have passed for him.

If all administrators are gone for 6 months, i believe you will be given founder access. If you are not sure about the logins of the other administrators, you can PM Leeloo with the details as mentioned in the tutorial. She will guide you from there on.

Thank you! When the time comes, I'll do so.

Also, if I'm not part of the present administration and cannot access the admin panel, am I not required to provide the list of special users when I PM Leeloo with the details?

In your case. All conditions mentioned in Case 2 + Case 3 are required. Since, you are not a part of the admin team the special users screenshot is not required.

So, If I am an Admin in a forum and the founder of that forum is not around for 6 Months above, can I be a founder in that time through asking LeeLoo for the details?

Yes 6 months + 1 day if the founder has not logged in you as a admin, can ask Leeloo to make you the founder.
Follow the tutorial for more information.

I am Admin in a forum but can't access Template because I am not a Founder.
Founder is off for over a 7month ago so we are taking it's responsibility from him.

Let me try, so if Leeloo get the password of founder, it will remain unchanged in the password of Founder's accounT?

Or a way of knowing what's the pass of the founder's account but the foundership remains to the true creator of the forum.

They might think it as assassination.
It's not possible to just know the password of the founder and logging in using the founder's account?
