Could anyone guide me on how I can change the color of the links which have been already been visited?

Administration Panel > Display > Colors & Pictures > Colors
It should be in the first section.

I changed it there but the link colour still apears the same..

okey i found this only happens when i use the "URL" tag. Any idea where i can change the settings for tags?

I mean when i use the link like this[url=google.com]this[/url] the color is different. how can I change that colour?

That link should appear same color as are the other links of your forum.
