Solved CSS Selector for Advanced Search Page in Invision

Post by runawayhorses on December 24th 2012, 12:06 am

Hi, I'm looking for the selector that addresses that background color and image of the "Advanced Search" page. When you click the "Search" link in your navigation bar an option to use the "Advanced Search" is there with a link to the "Advanced Search" page, on that page is all the options for the Advanced Search, that is the page I need the CSS selector for that addresses the background image or color for Invision.

thanks

Can you post a screenshot of exactly which all parts colors do you want to change?

Just the background I want to change. Right now it is transparent. In this screenshot you can see my forums main background which is a Christmas background. The background for the "Advanced Search" page would start at where you see "search query".

Thanks, that worked but only partially, as you can see from this new updated screenshot that the black background image I added is only covering just 2 small parts of the page, just a little block under the "Search for keywords" where you tick a box it select an option, and at the bottom of the screenshot you can see the "Sort by" options, the background image is now showing there also, but I would like the entire area filled with the background. You may have to view the screenshot full size to see it.

So its very close to being the right selector its certainly in the ballpark, but not quite the one I need. Smile

Here it is, I've edited my post above several times thinking I had the selector but I still don't have the right one, the ones I thought were it affected other pages not just the search page, and I want the selector that affects only the search page, I can't see\m to find it.
