block link /css.forum

Post by suportedesign on January 3rd 2013, 12:51 am

Hello!
Today would like to suggest a change in service Forumotion.

My suggestion is blocking the link that allows you to view the CSS code of the forums.
Many users use this link to plagiarize of others themes.
The link to which I refer is this: / css.forum
With it you can access the CSS code in any forum, even that this is the official.

see:
http://help.forumotion.com/css.forum

This is how the plagiarists do. Copy all the CSS that the owners of the forum had work to create.

Please vote YES!
We need more security in our forums!

Thanks for listening!

Even if you block it you can still easily access the CSS from different ways.

You'll also need an HTAccess for each forum which forumotion doesn't have.

Yes, there is always an alternative, but Forumotion users to use more css copy of such a link forum by css.forum, if the blocked link, would case more copies of the forums hosted on Forumotion forums platform.

However you can do this server side thumright

I'm voting no, why:

Be realistic, not many people know about that address, just like robots.txt
There is many other functions, let alone a website that will get you a copy of the css.
The incredible amount of time that would be necessary to create this, for it to not even be helpful to the majority.
Not to not that designers also use this address Razz
