In progress Reporting a forum

Post by frankf on January 9th 2013, 8:58 pm

Hello, I do not have a forum with forumotion. I wish to report a forum to forumotion staff for review. The forum I wish to report contains harmful and libelous comments. The links I have seen here for "litigation" reports suggest that my complaint will be directed to the admin of the forum I wish to report. As the admin of the forum I wish to report is involved with the posting of harmful and libelous comments this is not a suitable solution.
How do I report a forum directly to forumotion?

Thanks 1NtRuD3R. Before I made this request I filled in the form in your link. After filling in the form I received and email which said
"To validate the sending of the litigation to (name of forum I want to report) , please click on this link"
That, to me, says that the litigation will be sent to the forum I am trying to report, not to forumotion.

It goes to the litigation team which investigates the forum. The forum's founder will see that a litigation report has been send.

Thank you SLGray. Will the forum's founder see the litigation report or be able to find out who sent the report? It is very important that the information sent in the litigation reports be kept private so that the forum's found can not see it.

The founder will not see the report.

After clicking the link in the validation email I received the message,
"Litigation sent to (name of forum being reported)"
This has not filled me with confidence.

Please don't double/triple post. Your post need to be separated by 24 hours before bumping, replying or adding more information. Please use the edit button instead!
Do not worry it was sent to the litigation team.

How long does it take for a litigations to be processed? Do the litigation team contact the complainant? Would it be possible for me to communicate directly with the litigation team?

There is no set time that a litigation is dealt within, but it is fairly reasonable. You will not be contacted by the litigation team and as far as I know, there is no way to contact them either.

There is no specified time. The litigation team won't contact the complainant. No its not possible to communicate with the litigation team.
The litigation team will consider your litigation & take necessary action if required.

Recently you closed a thread which I started http://help.forumotion.com/t118991-reporting-a-forum
I was given incorrect information in that thread. I was told by your team that the founder of the forum being reported via the litigation link would NOT see the report. I have now received an email regarding the litigation. The email is FROM THE FORUM FOUNDER.
Frank

Hello Frank.
As stated above. When submitting a report to forumotion litigations, the report goes to the forumotion litigation team only. The litigation team dose not send or contact the forums founder in question about any given reports that was filed against them. If you have received a email from this forum founder, then he has either seen this thread here on forumotion support or has heard from another source, I can ensure you that forumotion litigation did not, will not and dose not reveal any information's of those who submit reports against a forum, it's staff, or owners.

Thank you.
