How to change username color?

I'm an admin on a forum. And I got an idea for a store that changes username color with points. But I don't know how to change an username color. Can you guys help me?

Create a group, and add in that group the members that you want. You can select a color for the membes' group.

I tried that, but it didn't work .

The members have to join the group to change the username color.
