Yeah or no?
A couple of different suggestions.
-Being able to set a account to invisible/hidden so it's not able for others to see it. Not just making it hidden when online, but to where people without the correct permissions don't even know that accounts there. (Staff use only)
-Default typing color. So that if I type something, it will automatically be whatever I set my default typing to be. (Everyone)
-Make sections for certain groups. Like a report section to be handled only by that group (and the forum staff [admins, forum moderators, and anyone else with the correct permissions])
Also make a hidden section automatically for that group so that they can have discussions with-in themselves.
-Add in a moderator preset permissions. [Add onto where it let's you change a members grade to User > Admin to User > Moderator > Admin]
As I think of more, you'll see alot more threads. Also, some of these ideas are from another gaming forum I use. Incorporating these simple things'd make running a forum a little bit better and make the user be a bit more unique.

MiniSin means that you can not see the status or the profile itself.

Re: A couple of different suggestions.
I believe that MiniSin means that only the status and the profile itself is not visible.

/update
Be allowed to view member's private messages. Why? Because you want to make sure they're not talking about things that go against the forums rules. Example: Say if I ran a GunZ server and I didn't want my players to talk about other servers. If anyone typed in a keyword, you'd get a notification and then it would redirect you to all that persons pms.

This will never be applied to the forums. There is a reason why it is called private message.MiniSin wrote:/update

Re: A couple of different suggestions.
I don't understand why it won't. If they'd like to have private conversations, they should use another way. Besides, this system I just suggested isn't a means to look through everyones private messages. It's only to see private messages with keywords. Like I said in my example. If someone were to say, I don't know, GunZ, Server, Freestyle, or another keyword the admin added, then they will get a notification and will be able to view only that and any other messages passes between the specific members for a set time, say a day or two. And too prevent abusing staff, make it so common words can't be search'd/added to the filter. Sorry if I didn't explain it well the first time.SLGray wrote:This will never be applied to the forums. Re: A couple of different suggestions.
Even if it is by keywords, private messages will not be private. This is an issue with members' right to know that their private messages will remain private. If a member believes a pm is breaking the rules, they can forward the pm to a staff member.

Re: A couple of different suggestions.
This is becoming a useless arguement so there's no point in continuing. Please forget I even said anything.SLGray wrote:Even if it is by keywords, private messages will not be private. Re: A couple of different suggestions.
Its not an argument but a healthy discussion.
MiniSin, when you are suggesting something you should either convince the person with whom you are discussing it or else get convinced the other way.
In the future please don't merge different suggestions in one, as its difficult for members to come & vote. Maybe some members will vote no for one suggestion & it would look negative on an overall. Do you want to split all of these suggestions one by one for better clarity? I can Garbage this thread.

Re: A couple of different suggestions.
Yeah, just garbage it please. As for the discussion, I personally dislike getting involved in them when the subject can go both ways.
Yes - It would be helpful to stop people from going against your forum rule.
No - It would take away their privacy.
Anyway, thanks for the help SLGray + Sanket.
