Solved Post Editor

Post by OVERTOP69 on January 17th 2013, 8:56 pm

For some reason my post editor no longer seems to be available on my forum. I have tried changing my templates back to the default template and it still seems to be unavailable for use.

Is there somewhere I can go in the back office to change this, or is it a template issue.

How can I fix this.

Please help soon as I cannot properly edit posts or upload images at the moment.

Hi,

Please make sure you have an image before changing templates. Do the following to check if the image itself is there.

ACP >> Display >> Pics Management >> Advanced Mode >> Buttons (Tab)

Attention!
- Please provide your forum URL at all times.
- When the issue is solved, please mark it as solved.

You seem to have misunderstood, I don't mean edit post. I mean the editor options that you can use to upload a photo, add a link, change text size, etc.

What browser are you using? Chrome?

Or you have added any codes lately after which this problem started.

I am using either firefox or IE....either one does not show the editor. I have reset the template to the default template and it still does not show. No I have not added any codes, but, I am also having problems with topics scrolling in recent posts....if that has anything to do with it....though I doubt it.

These things worked fine for a long time, it just stopped working recently.

Remove each personal widget one by one & check which one is causing the problem.

How can you be sure it's a widget? The widgets I put in are banners only, codes coming from the sites I am affiliated with. Never had any trouble with any of them.

Not saying your wrong, just doesn't seem like a likely cause for the editor not being there.

I am 100% sure some buggy code is causing this.

First when i asked did you add any code lately, you said No & hence i thought we had to start with personal widgets where the problem could be. So just start with something else. I can't be 100% sure where the problem could be.

Nothing special that I can think of. Honestly....i haven't been keeping up with the forum for a while, just came back recently. Since I've been back I noticed it no longer worked.

Wow. You were absolutely right about the widget. I cannot believe it. I never thought a widget code could interfere with only one page and not others.

Thanks so much for the help. I will have to remember this one.
