Basically, when you restore a theme from a previous date it starts going a bit weird. It starts reading the CSS, javascript and widgets wrongly. Sometimes it just totally ignores the CSS, other times it just randomly changes things. Also changing the CSS has no effect at some points after a restore.

It's not a problem for me, so I don't need an immediate solution of try this, try that..it's broken. I experience this on test forums and end up just having to delete them.

Hopefully the technicians can have a look at this.

I recommend you just don't touch it on your forums just now.

I believe this bug is already reported. I will see if Leeloo has any inputs on this.

the temp themes dose not keep all css, it mainly just keeps images for appearances, there will always be some adjustments you would have to do,
Be sure to always copy any css you have for a theme to a note pad or text file.

Like i even have admin office where i will store things like that in post, As far as java scripts or template edits, if i remember correctly it should not affect that, However since sanket has stated there is a bug, may be that's all the problem is and is being sorted out now, But i do know form the past when keeping temp themes and going back to them, not all customizations or css is saved.

I do save CSS, I'm not bothered about that. It's just the fact that this feature is totally broken and will result in your forum acting very very strange.

Also, I've experienced this since I started using forumotion (about 1 and half years ago) but didn't think anything of it at the very start, so I doubt it's being fixed.

I can confirm what Neymar states here. Ever since I've chosen the theme / skin (Prosilver blue) and phpBB3 board I've only restored it once at the beginning and saw my whole board just destroyed. I was in total shock. Imagine I had to restore it in 5 minutes and a lot of members are waiting. For me, it's not so much of an issue as I keep personal backups of CSS and JS's and I only have a handfull of active users. I'm not so anxious about changing or restoring themes again, eventhough I might be needing the feature in the future. For further analysis (not testing!), please contact me by PM for further instructions.

Regards,

Samantha.
