How can I create user accounts manually?

I want to create user accounts manually which I can give to certain people to be able to log on and use the forum. Is there anyway to do this?

That is a good tip, but what if i wanted to do that without an email associated with an account, is that possible or can I use a fake email?

I tried using a fake email but the system checks to see if it is valid and won't let me proceed.

So I can't use duplicate or fake emails.

It will be better if you just send the forum's link to the ones you want to register.

Well I don't think this is going to work. Even if I type a fake email, the system checks to see if it is valid.

I was hoping to create forum where the users are completely anonymous to each other to allow them to freely disuss issues in their life without fear of being judged.

I have a group of people where I would have given them a logon name and password and I didn't want them to use their own email address.

Anyway, that's it I guess.

They can register with their real email addresses, then after logging in change their email addresses.

Ok I got....

if you makeup a name and use the domain "@email.com" it will accept the email address.

Once this is done, just go to the Admin CP and activate the user.

I have no idea where email is being sent, but I found this technique for people who want to register for something without using their real email.
