Solved Whitespace in profile fields below avatar

Post by Darth Apple on February 15th 2013, 8:52 pm

Hi,

I recently worked with a site that performed an "upgrade" from phpBB to punBB recently, using a much nicer skin as well. Our members love the change, but there is one complaint that they have. There is a huge amount of whitespace in the posts, and it is due to the whitespace between profile fields appearing on the left. Here is a screenshot:

It looks much worse when there are large signatures. We've already considerably cut back on the number of profile fields. I was wondering if there was any CSS edit or template edit that could allow us to minimize the whitespace between profile fields.

Thanks in advance, -Darth Apple

I apologize for the ambiguity of my title. I've changed it to make a little more sense. I'm talking about the profile fields that show below the user's avatar on posts. I made another screenshot: http://i1.someimage.com/p6PgMDE.png

The whitespace between the fields is causing a lot of whitepace on the posts as well. It's not a huge deal, but it is something several of our users have pointed out. It would be nice to be able to fix it without removing profile fields, if possible.

Add this to your css, see if that changes anything.
Code:
.pun .sig-content{
position:absolute !important;
}

Thanks. It doesn't fix the whitespace itself, but it does fix the signatures, which makes a huge difference. The rest we can probably make up for by removing some profile fields.

Thanks again. Topic = solved
