Option to leave new messages unread TILL read

Hi,

Is there an option (in controlpanel), that leaves all new messages/posts unread TILL read?

Some members and also some crew members, incl. myself are complaining about the fact that, you can only see the new messages/posts since you last login.
I receive my mails on my phone, so I read and answer pm's asap. But this means that I miss all other messages/post which are new/open at that thime.
Because when I come back they aren't open any more.

Please help.

There are 3 new posts and I receive a PM.
The PM I read and answer. The 3 new posts I leave untouched
and go offline again

When I come back later on the forum the 3 new post aren't open anymore.

So I'am missing messages

I think what he means is if you haven't read all the posts before logging off and you have to log off, when you log back on again you have lost all those "unread" posts because when you click on "View posts since last visit", it assumes you have "read" them.

A way round this is to go to "Home" page and scroll down to "Statistics" and click on "Today's active topics". Bit messy but I've found it's the only way to find the posts you haven't read because of having to log off and log-in again.

Correct, and on the forum the envelops are closed again
