Adding gw2bbcode

Hi there,
I'm trying to add a js file to my forum called gw2bbcode (www.gw2bbcode.pl). It's written using JQuery and below are the installation instructions.

If your page already use JQuery just copy-paste this code snippet into your website

Now I tried adding the first snippet of code as its own javascript through the Javascript Code Management page and it didn't work, I also tried creating a 2nd snippet of code as a 2nd entry in my Javascript Code Management page, but neither worked. So then I tried combining both snippets of code into the same entry, JQuery first, and that also didn't work.

What do I need to do to get this working? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Guess I should add for those interested, this is for the PC game Guild Wars 2 and lets you quickly display a specific combination of skills and traits.

Have you tried adding the code to a widget or in an announcement (all pages)?

I just tried adding it to an all-pages announcement, but that did not seem to work. My forum is a phpbb2 forum without widgets enabled.

Do I need to include the addition from my original post that adds JQuery? I tried to search around and see if JQuery is included by default in the forum, but I couldn't find a definitive answer.
