Selective Viewing and No Copying Empty Selective Viewing and No Copying

Post by Tanthya February 17th 2013, 11:31 am

Heyy Guys,

I run a forum where the members are creative while some members do not mind Guests * Non registered members* viewing their creations, few members insist that their thread should be seen by registered members only! ..Is there any code Like *[Membersonly]* available here and also is there any tab that will prevent members/Guests from copying the contents of the thread and reposting it as their own in another forum..

Un fortunately That is not what I am seeking for, Lee... The above configuration issues a blanket permission while my objective is to ensure optional... Suppose a member does not his/her stuff viewed by guest, then that member must have an option of not allowing the guest to view* Such option exist in other forums where , the topic startes puts in [Membersonly] and the post becomes invisible to the Guest* while members who have not encoded their post with Members only viewing can be read n viewed by Guests ...Hope now I am clear

The only way to do this is to use the Hide tags.
Code:
[hide][/hide]
Content posted inside these tags, require a reply in that thread. So guests who just view that post, cannot see whatever is inside that tag.

Honestly, there is no way to avoid taking the screenshot.
Right click on the forum can be disabled, there are many threads related to this on the forum. You can use the search feature. But, this will only cause problems for existing members.

Hmm.. Yes, One other member did suggest the right click method but the issue with disabling Right click is, It does not allow me to insert images obtained from Right clicking in the Google.. Is there any way to circumvent this??

Nopes, there is no way. Thats the reason, that script is no good. Those who want to copy, will find a way no matter what.

The "No right click" option is only good for "stand alone" information pages. Its not really good for a forum as quite often you'll have to use the right click option. Either to paste a link or copy some text from a post to make it into a new quote.
