Can only the Admin give/transfer Admin rights to another member or is there another way?
I'm part of a Wrestling Roleplaying forum. Our General Manager, our admin, left without telling anyone and I was chosen as the replacement GM. Thing is, I'll need to have Admin access to properly run the forum, like putting members in the respective user groups or accessing the stuff that he left under "Admin-only". I've tried to contact to original admin, but no dice. Is there any way of getting the rights or am I going to make my own forum? (I'd rather not complicate things with the other members by moving somewhere else)

Hello,
Read this tutorial https://help.forumotion.com/t81878-recovery-or-change-founder-of-an-account?highlight=transfer+founder+status
Read the first set of steps mentioned and then read step number 3.
I do have one question.
When you say you're a "general manager" do you have access to the admin panel?

The term General Manager has to do with the online wrestling/roleplaying game that the forum is used for. You know how MMO games have clans/guilds/Leagues, etc.? We use "Federations" and the leader of each one is the General Manager. Each federation is required to have its own, separate forum for role-playing purposes...which is why I'm asking the topic question. I'm GM in the main game but back at the forum, I'm only a moderator. I'll need full access to the admin panel now that I'm in charge.
I'll get to work on the what you posted and I'll be back to tell you if it worked or not.
Edit: And I hit a snag. The 6 months and one day requirement won't be met for a while...Is there no other way?

Sadly, No,
Is there no other admin on the forums at all?
