New PM notification not showing

My settings are set to show notification for PM's and there is no pop-up. Even the messages button doesnt say 'new message. I want to fix

Is your Browser allowing the Pop Ups? Please check that.

For the new PM thing, Display>Pics management
New PM: Is the image url there?

ok i had the same image set for new massage as i did with old message. FIXED. Now the pop-up... is it the same pop-up as when an unregistered user visits the site? The one where you can select not to show again? Or is it in a new window/tab?

Thats a different window. The one when you visit the forum as a guest is a Login Pop up.

Just google for whichever browser you are using, how to enable pop ups.

Display a pop-up window for new private messages : [] Yes [] No
Some templates may open a new window to inform you when new private messages arrive. Notice : Make sure your browser's popup blocker doesn't block popups of this site.

Which browser are you using?

I know that... im asking if it can be changed to a notification like the log-in pop-up instead of a new window.

Chrome and I know how to turn on pop-ups.

So have you seen a small pop up message saying, "You have a new private message?" It usually appears at the top of the page.

Wouldnt I get the New PM notification not showing Chrome_95472_alert

image in the address bar if there was a block pop-up? My preferences are also set to yes for notify my of a new PM

If you have the block pop-ups activated, you will not get a pop-up message. If you want to see it, you will have to deactivate the blocker for your forum.
