A "New Posts" Section

Post by lanky on October 31st 2006, 7:53 pm

Hi,

In the portal of forums, we have the option to view the latests posts.

But I think it would be better if we have a forum look that automatically lists the most recent posts instead, so instead of the scrolling or static bar in the portal, the users can just click on a button that says "Last Threads" or something like that.

There's already something like that on the forums...

On the main index page, if you look to the top right, there's a button which says "view new posts" and it lists the newest posts in one place.

Yeah, there is a View Unanswered Posts and a View New posts since last visit, but it doesn't show the past so many posts in a topic style format like an Invision Power Board would (for example)

Its a good idea... still, i am looking for a link to latest posts. It helps us to check all the lastest post quickly...

there is some link provided in the home page as "view post since last visit or view unanswered post"

but once you log out and again log in to your forum, it didnt show any post at all...

if edit board, provide a link to view lastest posts in last 24 hours... it will be a very usefull...

I already requested about this http://help.forumotion.com/viewtopic.forum?t=1650 ...

scratch

Outlaw16151, if you want to make a suggestion, opn a new thread here, if it's support you're asking for, go to the appropriate section.
This thread is for thesuggestion of havng asort of tell a friend script, therefore, posts must be related to that

I am sure that screenshot is of an SMF forum, and they don't use phpbb (I think, but i'm not completely sure).
