In progress Multiple Themes/Styles

Post by [Kelly] on March 25th 2013, 6:22 am

I'm trying to get my board to have multiple themes... I found a thread that had two useful links to them, but one of them the explanation in the end did not prove the results I wanted (think the coding was wrong... I am no coder by any means :\ but in the end the theme changer was not available), and the second one is asking me to "Navigate to Admin CP > Display > Templates > General > overall_header_new" but... When I go there this is what I see:

The thread with the links I mentioned above was from this site, found here: http://help.forumotion.com/t112088-style-changer

Now... I don't know why I do not have any options in my Templates area (none of them do), or how to fix this...

Thank you!

Hello,

If your forum version is phpbb3 or Invision, you won't have access to the templates, only phpbb2 and punBB has the template access. Wink

Oy. Alright, well this (http://help.forumotion.com/t71484-add-multi-themes-to-your-forum) was the original one I attempted to use, but most of the steps didn't correspond with the attached file and the last bit was very, very confusing.

That, sincerely, is all I want is to simply use the Hitskin ones. The image I posed was directly relating to the other link in which the thread had mentioned (this one: http://www.webartzforum.com/t301-forumotion-theme-changer) so figured I'd try that. Completely forgot that it's PhpBB2 that can use templates... We had went through and ultimately decided to go with PhpBB3 (had used PhpBB2 before) :|

Is there a way in which I can use the first link provided in this post to try and get this working? All I really want is to have multiple themes so the user(s) can choose what they would like, using PhpBB3 instead of PhpBB2
