Alias Address/FQDN Remove
www.myhospitalexperience.forumotion.co.uk.
However, when I go to the configuration page in the admin panel it gives me this error
The supplied domain name is not well configured
Your CNAME must redirect to : myhospitalexperience.forumotion.co.uk
The strange thing is if I type www.myhospitalexperience.co.uk in the address bar it redirects to forum motion but I get this error
The forum www.myhospitalexperience.co.uk doesn't exist.Verify the internet address you typed : www.myhospitalexperience.co.uk,

It is possible that the administrator has chosen to delete it.

When I enter the first link in my browser, the other links loads. It can take sometime before the redirection to be complete (up to 72 hours).emanger wrote:I have the same issue. The panel wont let me save it but the domain leads to the ForuMotion page.

Well, you will need to set it up properly at your domain registrar. I would suggest you to take help from them to set it up. The only tutorial which was available is already provided, there is nothing i can do to help you as I have never done it personally.

Re: Problems with Cname redirecton Please Help
Here's a tip from someone who is experiencing the same issue. I have found that the problem is not with Forumotion. The tutorials are perfect and give step by step instructions. However, it depends upon your Domain Hosts cpanel set-up.
To remedy your problem, one would need to keep the CNAME as ALIAS in order for the redirection to work and all that is done from where ever you bought your domain.
For instance, I purchased a domain from BlueHost. I still haven't been able to link the two together because I can't find where the CNAME ... ALIAS is located. You really need to go through your support and explain to them exactly what you need.
I'll be watching this post because I need to know how it's done as well. When we find out, maybe there won't be as many members posting the same issue in the future.
I am still working with Support at BlueHost!
