In progress Buying Credits to remove Advertisements

Post by morf13 March 26th 2013, 11:30 pm

I just paid thru Paypal for 500 credits. My goal was to buy them and then use them to remove the ads that appear on my forum. I followed the steps and went into the correct admin area to spend the credits and remove the advertisements, but I got a message that said 'only the FOUNDER can spend credits'. I am the creator/founder/admin of my forum. Can somebody please advise me how to do this? thanks

I did read that section and it stated the following:

Spend your credits

By visiting the "Misc / Credits Management / Spend Credits" tab in your admin panel, you can upgrade your forum with your current amount of credits. You can...

Disable advertisements on your forum (for either members only or for both members and guests)
Increase the storage space for your gallery
Buy a custom domain name
Edit your forum's template

Remove the ads

"Misc >> Credits Management >> Spend Credits >> Ads
"

Two options are available:
1. Add time in which advertisements are disabled for members only.
2. Add time in which advertisements are disabled for both members and guests

I followed these directions and got the following response:
"Only the founder can access this section"

Since I started the forum & am the admin,am I also the founder? Why does it not recognize me as the founder

Hello,

You should be using the main founding/founder account when you want to spend credits, using other accounts that has only admin panel access won't be able to access that.

How do I find that? How do I login as: FOUNDING/FOUNDER? The user name I have now has always been my user name, its what I signed up with when I joined forummotion, and has always shown me as ADMIN. Where do I see myself as FOUNDER,or make myself FOUNDER?

Then this account must be the founder account itself.

I am the founder,I created the forum. I am the ADMIN too. I dont ever recallusing anything called 'founder'. If I am the founder, and admin, could it be that I dont have the same password for both? I have no problem adminstering my forum, but want to send PM to every member of my forum at once, but think I need founder permission to do that

The founder account when you create a forum has a username called Admin, unless you change it.

Okay,I successfully logged in as ADMIN, but I dont see how I can send mass PM to everybody on my forum. I hought I could click NEW PM,and then pull down ALL MEMBERS,or MEMBERS from the dropdown box and send them all PMs but all I can mass pm are ADMINISTRATORS or MODERATORS. There is NOT a choice to send all members a PM. please advise, thanks

If you have created a members group with a autosubscribe feature of 0 posts. Then when you click on new PM, that usergroup member will be available & you can send a mass PM.

Are you talking about a private message or an email (newsletter)?
