Post by CodyDeathHammer on April 5th 2013, 1:09 am

Hello. I have recently got the codes for google translator on my forum but idk how to use it. These are the codes i got below.

Paste this code onto your website
Copy and paste the following code snippets onto every page you want to translate
Place this meta tag before the closing </head>
<meta name="google-translate-customization" content="2d0abf31c8eeac62-40c75c068afd7839-g8a95b3fe38ad8f08-29"></meta>

Place this snippet where you'd like to display the Website Translator plugin on your page
<div id="google_translate_element"></div><script type="text/javascript">
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
  new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'en', layout: google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE}, 'google_translate_element');
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="//"></script>

The last code can be placed in an announcement (all pages) or in a widget. I really do not know if you need the first part. The one I used when I added mine about a year ago was like the last code only.

Put the first code in your overall header template.

Right at or around line 202 you will see
<!-- END google_analytics_code -->

>>>>>PLACE IT HERE <<<<<

so just place it right above the </head> tag and below the END google_analytics_code

Then hit save, then go back and click on the green plus icon to publish Add

then as far as the second code, like SLGray has said announcement would be a good place, or even the very bottom of the overall header template under everything would be a good place to.

Info added

yeah and it all works fine, great actually, you might even want the second code at the very top of the over all header over top of all coding.

here is align right tags if you want it to the right hand side of your board. If so just place the second code in the middle of this tag

<div align="right">  SECOND CODE SCRIPT HERE  </div>
