In progress Litigation Question

Post by chemicalkitten April 4th 2013, 3:38 am

If I were to file a litigation, would the forum I file it against know what was written in the litigation? The reason I ask, is that a hate forum was made, dedicated to my friends and I. I would like to report it, but when I fill in the form, I don't want the creators to see it.

I don't care if they know that a litigation was taken out against them, I basically just really don't want them to see the content of the litigation.

Thanks in advance.

The forum's founder will not see the litigation report, but if the litigation team does see anything that breaks the Terms of Services they will do one of these two options:

1. ban the forum on the spot

or

2. give the founder sometime to correct the violation.

If they do number 2, there will be a warning message in the administration panel.

Thank you! They will probably make another forum though... But I will do that right now, then. Is there a way to stop them from making more hate forums? Obviously I can't do that, but the bullying is getting ridiculous. They haven't posted in the one I want to report for a while, but it contains personal information.

If they are posting personal information, you might want to contact the authorities.

i cant really make it out in that screen shot, but my guess is you are trying to use bbcode/[IMG] tags code for the image.

Imageshack no longer offer direct image links without an account, you have to go in the bbcode image and take the direct link out of it that way.

then your report should go through OK

If you like send me the image you want to use and i will upload and get the proper direct image link for you to place.

I am not 100% if this is what it is, but know others have had this problem in the past and just have to be sure to add the correct direct image link

It's okay, I will try again later I suppose. I didn't include BB code in the image link, though. :/

OK then try not sending it anonymous, i mean it is only going to forumotion litigation and no one else. All is private between your report and forumotion litigation.

then if it still dose not work. feel free to send me the report hopw you want it and i will try to send it for you or pass it on to the godfather to see why the report will not go through for you

What exactly do you mean when you say "a hate forum was made dedicated to my friends and I"?
If anyone creates such a forum, Forumotion and also other forum and blogging services would delete it right away, without you having to report this.
This would also be true even if the site in question was hosted on a paid webhost.
I checked that image link and I got the error message that the image was removed by imageshack. That could be the problem

Well, this entire website is dedicated to harassing my friends and I. My other friend already complained, but the person that they tried to talk to about it just disregarded them.

Well if you are under 18,you could go to the police,as SLGray suggests if they are posting personal information about such as your address.
That would be the case in England where I am.

I have reported it to the authorities, but they don't have much power online - or so they told me. They directed me to CEOP, who have not taken any action so far. The police advised me to contact you guys in regards to the personal information, and request it to be removed myself. The Hate Site itself is pretty stupid, but it has my real name on there, and maybe more. I just haven't looked at all of it.

The people themselves have been sending me threats, but the police are dealing with that. Again though, not very well... I'm just kind of frustrated with the whole situation, but I really appreciate all this help. I am sorry that it was such a pain.

I sent the litigation to you, Kirk.

What does CEOP stand for? What is that?
You say your real name and other personal info is on that site.
Where you a member on that forum? If that's the case you know you can delete your own account on that forum yourself.
By going here-
https://www.forumotion.com/en/unscribe/

Then the URL of the Forumotion forum you want to unsubscribe from.
Then your profile on that forum will be removed and the details with it.
Through your posts will still remain unless the admin deletes them.Though they will appear under the username of Guest.

CEOP - Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.

I did not put the information there myself. I am not a member of that Site. They posted it without my permission. I would never put my details on the net.

Now I understand. So from what you've told us you are under 18 years of age. You have also been in contact with Child Exploration and Online Protection.
So if you never posted your details on the Net,how did that site get hold of them?

I had a penpal that I had known for two years. One day, she decided to just side with the bullies. I don't know why. Uh, this is bordering on a personal question, though.

I did. I was just responding to the other replies, that's all. All I want, is this info taken down. If the whole Site can be, then great- but since I doubt it, just that much will be fine. I'm just waiting to see if the litigation went through.
