How do I turn a member into moderator ?
I tried to put his name into the moderators group but nothing changed.
No rank appeared in his profile nor he had access to more function than a member.
So how do I do it?
Thank you in advance for your help !

Follow this :-
First, you have to do this :-
Admin Panel > Users and Groups tab > Find "Groups" in the sidebar > Group Administration > Choose the group > Add your member.
The next is this :-
Admin Panel > Users and Groups tab > Search Users in the sidebar > Find your user by entering username > Click on the profile > Scroll down till you get the subheading "Special admin-only fields" > Then find "Rank Title" there > From the drop down menu, choose the group and hit save!
Please do these two instructions and check.

Well, the rank title dropdown menu gives me "Admin" as the only option.koolkat96 wrote:Follow this :-

Also, five fields above where it sais "Current member properties" it mentions that this
member is already in the group of Moderators and two others I have put him in.
So what should I do ?

Probably not, I thought the Moderator group would do the job.SLGray wrote:Have you created a moderator rank?

Ok.SLGray wrote:Read this - https://help.forumotion.com/t16692-user-ranks
So now, I go to each forum permissions separately and activate Moderators-moderate
so that everybody who are in the group of moderators can have access to some more
functions?

Yes, thats correct. But, the ranks have got nothing to do with the group. Its completely separate.Spyros Kontis wrote:Ok.SLGray wrote:Read this - https://help.forumotion.com/t16692-user-ranks
