There's a leak! HELP! Empty There's a leak! HELP!

Dear ppl of Forumotion,
I have a small forum where we once were 22 active ppl and now are narrowed down to 14 active posters. I have banned some ppl who were leaking what we were writing about to a group of ppl on another forum.

I started my forum so we could get away from mean people. I promised these people they could speak freely at my place. Now there is a big leak. I trust all of the remaining people on my forum, so there's no way it could be any of them.
I thought we were safe.

I closed the forum so only 3 threads could be seen by guests and all of the rest was closed for them. I closed down the memberlist.
STILL information is seeping out. Fresh info. Someone told me you could get in with Google. But when I try - nothing.

I thought we were safe. Is there some kind of known leak on these forums? Can I patch it?

Pls help, I feel so helpless right now.

OK the only thing showing on the RSS is the 2 threads I allow guests to see.

THIS IS SERIOUS! personal information has been compromised. I know I trust every active member.

There are only 2 things regarding with this topic.
1. As Sanket said, maybe you didn't set the permissions for your forum correctly.
2. It's your members who leak it.

This is not a forumotion problem/server problem. The members you trust do have the problem. Even if you trust them, how sure/how completely you are sure that they are really something to trust with? That's only i can say in regards with this problem. bye

So it is gossip.
When you have people talking/gossiping about others it will always get around and you should expect it to. Talk is talk so I would not worry about things that may be said on other boards, just concentrate on running your forum . What happens and is said at other places are other places.

With that being said, just be sure no members including you and your staff are not revealing personal information, threatening conversions, or anything that could bring any real harm to someone. As long as you's are not conducting conversations that could put someone in harms way then talk about what you like.

Other then that it would have to be up to you to try to see who may be leaking info to others and remove them from the forum. But remember. People will dwell on gossip and drama. Talk is talk and bull shiat. Can walk Smile
