Trouble posting links with HTML
Hello,
I've had a dilemma trying to post links on the header of a forum I administrate : www.gproaus.forumotion.com
The problem that persists is whatever is posted using the < url="(link)"> < /url> code, it uses the homepage of the forum before using the desired link. Here is my example:
And for any of those with experience in HTML, especially with the header, here is the code I've used:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Code:
http://gproaus.forumotion.com/"http://gproaus.forumotion.com/g4-australian-managers"

- Code:
<strong><br><a href=“http://gproaus.forumotion.com/g4-australian-managersâ€Â>Register here!</a><br><font color="black">Then, when accepted, <a href=â€Âhttp://gproaus.forumotion.com/g4-australian-managers†class=postlink>sign up to the ‘Australian & NZ Managers' group</a></font><br></br>
<p>There are only a few rules to abide by:</p><br></br>
<font color="red">1. <u>Please use your GPRO name,</font></u> so we know who you are.</font>
<font color="green"><p><b> Usernames like 'Michael Schumacher' or 'fastracer1234' WILL NOT be accepted.</b></p><br></br>
<p>2. <u>You must be an Australian or NZ manager</u> that plays GPRO - <u><font color="blue">http://gpro.net/gb/gpro.asp</font></u></p><br></br>
<p>3. We're all here because we share a common passion for a game. Serious discussion can be natural, but bare in mind that a fun and positive attitude is the key to happiness & success :)</p></font></b>
</strong>
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Where are you trying to place this code? Also, have you tried enabling HTML first?:

Re: Trouble posting links with HTML
I'm trying to place the HTML codes in the Admin section : Homepage Generalities. This does not seem to allow BBCode and all the other above HTML I applied worked now and in the past.
All except the links.
To find it...
Administration panel > Display > Homepage > Generalities
If you look at the forum; http://gproaus.forumotion.com/
you will see that HTML is enabled... It's plaguing the progression of the forum which is why I have gone to these lengths to resolve the issue.

Re: Trouble posting links with HTML
The homepage message appears to be fine, and the links are clickable, can you explain more of your problem? Thanks

I don't know if you're trolling or if there's a misunderstanding in communication but please click the 'Register here' link and tell me if it takes you to the register page....

You were talking about some code being added on the homepage message, He was trying to help you & was asking more information. If you consider asking more information about the problem to be Trolling, I don't know what to say.Luke Frost wrote:I don't know if you're trolling or if there's a misunderstanding in communication but please click the 'Register here' link and tell me if it takes you to the register page....
So please be respectful towards staff members who are trying to help you.
About your problem, since now you have mentioned about the register page Link.
There is a problem with a href=
The URL's you added are incorrect & buggy, you need to fix them.
