Flickr icon and link to members flickr pages
Many of my members are on FLICKR. I have noticed they can add flickr Pinterest eyc and I was wondering if there is a flickr icon and code we can put in to our CSS so it can appear and members can find other members on FLICKR easier.

what is Pinterest eyc
also i don't think it is anything that would have to go in css.
i would think just Google flicker logo/icon and then create a click-able image link that will go to flickers home page or log in page?
bbcode
- Code:
[url=FLICKER URL HERE][IMG]YOUR DIRECT IMAGE LINK HERE[/IMG][/url]
HTML
- Code:
<a href="FLICKER URL HERE" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="DIRECT IMAGE LINK HERE" border="0" alt="" /></a>
Example
bbcode for that
- Code:
[url=http://www.flickr.com/][IMG]http://i81.servimg.com/u/f81/14/35/03/17/flicke10.jpg[/IMG][/url]
html code
- Code:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/" class="postlink" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i81.servimg.com/u/f81/14/35/03/17/flicke10.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>

Re: Flickr icon and link to members flickr pages
Thanks thats perfect!
Does it go in the CSS code where it says profile or something? so it follows under the facebook, skype, Pinterest icons?
BTW - I edited one of my other questions because when I did a google search for my forum - my question was second on the list and everyone could read what I had written? Is that normal?

Re: Flickr icon and link to members flickr pages
The icons for facebook, twitter, skype and pinterest are all under the profiles.
It wasnt in a widget. I was hoping I could take Skype or one of the other links under the contact profile for a member and put the flickr (clickable link) as 99% of the members on my forum would have flickr links as we discuss photos of our hobby?

Re: Flickr icon and link to members flickr pages
Oh you have to set up a advanced profile field to show in profiles only.
There is a couple ways to do it so will have to look to see what's best.
Like pretty sure you can have it to where members can have the option to add their self along with a link going directly to their profile.
Or have it to where it is just added to everyone's automatically and link go to the home page like above.
I am not 100 percent sure. I am on my iPod so will have to double check when I get on my computer .
In the mean time you can check it out in the admin panel/user and groups/user option/profiles /advanced profile fields.
It is pretty Mitch self explanatory and are a few different ways to set them up.
So have a look there.and I will also check as soon as I can to see what's best if your not sure.
Info added
Ok go to
Admin panel>user and groups>user options>profiles
Click on contact fields>> click on the green plus icon to create a new field.
add title/name of the field.
then add the image url of the flicker icon you want to use in the URL icon : option.
necessarily filled = No
if yes is selected then new members will be forced to place something there upon registration
Display = in profile
Display type = text-icon
Who can modify the profile field value = both members and mods,
mods only if you want to allow them to moderate that field if they have to.
Display this field for users that are at least : = members
contact = Web-address
Default content : = leave blank if you would like to allow them to add their own link.
or add the flicker home page link if you would rather it be there set as default.
click save and finished

Re: Flickr icon and link to members flickr pages
Perfetc thankyou. the member also needs to copy and paste their whole URL into the contact field and it works!
I did put it up as a suggestion but forgot to do a poll for it so it was moved to the garbage. I really think it is something that many others would want to have on the forum contact page....
Thankyou it solved now.
