Referal program, points, icecream hunt, I need help with some suggestion I got.

So I have a forum and on 13th of July we have our 3 year anniversary and since summer is coming we have some ideas to "refresh" our forum.

1.First of all we were thinking of a referral program. Here is the idea.
Some websites have this system that generated special banner codes for each users (each banner is somehow linked to a user). Those users use the banners to advertise the website and when someone clicks on a specific banner and registers on the website the user who was linked to that banner gets points and by collecting points they earn rewards. Here are some example codes of a website that uses that system.

Any ideas how could I achieve that??


2. The 2nd matter is the icecream hunt. We would like to hide some icecream images in several forum posts and whoever finds them first clicks on them to collect them and at the end of the event the user who has the most icecreams they win a price. Is this doable? Any ideas? Suggestions?

1) A referral program is not really available on FM.

2) You can hide the images, but you will need to ask them to PM you the locations. Other than that, there is no way. Also, phpb2 or PunBB would be more convenient, as it offers template editing.

I use phpBB2. What do you mean it would be more convenient as it offers template editing? How could I use the templates for my purpose?

The FAQ page, groups page you can modify the templates to hide those images.
