Allow Recipients To View PM Content In Email Notification

Post by Captain Hunk on May 23rd 2013, 11:59 pm

As it stands, whenever someone sends a private message into our inbox, we receive a simple formed notification of this event. The link is nice, but how about including a copy of what was written to us?

Forumotion has no problem sending a copy of our message when sending via email. So I would think this idea is not a problem for them to accomplish. By doing so, since it is not possible for Forumotion to increase the current cap of our private messages, the least Forumotion could do is allow a copy of said PM be sent so we could store it in our own emails.

I certainly would appreciate that. :wouhou:

Thanks Derri. Sure would like to know why someone voted no. What's wrong with it? At least have the decency to state why.

I just know that if you enable the email notification, having a copy of it would be quite handy. I currently trash every email notification I receive because its all the same. Having a copy of the PM would let me choose to file it away or trash it. And if you think about it, maybe they should streamline those boxes too. Only need two (i.e., inbox and outbox). The other two aren't worth it.

To add another pro to your table. The inbox doesn't store enough PMs in my personal opinion and therefore I feel that having an email notification that has the PM content inside it could be very useful.
