Member Not Able to Reply in Own Thread

Dear Forum Team,

A member contacted me today via email stating that he is not able to reply to my post in the thread the member created. It just has the member's initial post and my reply. The member tried replying to my post, but said in the email that he gets an error message that says something like: "no selected mode." The member tried several times to reply and kept getting this error message when he presses "send." I told him that I'd research it and get back to him. I searched this site and didn't see anything related. Please help. Thanks.
