Do you mean the rate they're bring updates out is slow or your actual forum is slow?

I'm asking are they the ones who are slow or is my forum slow? Are updates automatic?

All updates made by forumotion are automatic. Updates shouldn't effect the running speed of your forum and if they were too then I believe the forumotion team would post an announcement here on the support forums giving prior warning.

It might just be your browser that is causing your forum to be slow, have you tried clearing your cache?

Yeah speed should not have anything to do with forumotion updates.
May be try using a different browser or make sure your browser now is up to date as well.

Hiya,

I've loved reading this kind of posts for years now, and don't have my book for a perfect answer, so here goes --

ForuMotion.com (And it's entities) are a FREE service, which make money primarily off of adds, and secondarily from sponsorship from their users
ForuMotion has over 20 languages to make the codes work for, BEFORE they release it.
(Imagine that task!)
There is DAILY maintance preformed 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) with a dev online quite regularly 7 days a week,ec
Because our base coding is SITU and NOT simple TRUE PHPBB (Meaining heavily modified PHPBB) making an update requires ALOT of work, and you will find our devs work ALOT of overtime to ensure the service works without an issue that we notice.

There are alot of bugs, which believe it or not, bugs take priority over making an update.

Updates go through months of coding and even longer in BETA/testing state, and with the help of every volunteer staff member on forumotion boards across many languages, these updates are tested and on an exclusive test board.

Every update is delayed for every bug found, and every bug is reported into a system, which is read within 24 hrs by a dev and prioritized accordingly.

Do I need to further clarify the answer?
