In progress Restoring the Forum

Post by Sandara on June 9th 2013, 7:18 pm

Hi! I used to have a forum under the url youaredead.forumtl.com. I deleted it months ago (5 months or more i guess?), and now I want to retrieve it (want to put it back online), but when i go to the forum founder tools, I can't find a tool to restore the forum. Please help me. Thank you!

Hi,

If you are using what Sir Chavis has said then it's under "Forum Backup"

Set the date and do a full backup and you should have your forum online again.

Yes, I'm using that.

I tried that but to no avail. I think the Forum Backup function cannot "reach" the date I deleted the forum.

Hello Sandara,

I don't want to provide you with unsatisfying information, however once a certain time frame has passed, that information cannot be retrieved. I'm not sure of how long ForuMotion keeps this information backed up, but I don't think it's even 4 months, to be honest. Meaning, if you deleted it before 4 months, then you would not be able to retrieve it. I'm 100% on not being able to retrieve it, but I'm not so sure of the time frame (i.e. 4 months).

Hello,

Did you try creating a new forum with that e-mail?

My tools says that it's still connected to that link even though the forum is deleted, you can at least use another creation e-mail. Wink

@Jophy: I see. But there's no way for me now to retrieve the deleted forum, right?

I already tried that, but nothing happens (and I already stated that in my previous posts). Thanks for the reply anyway.
