I am confused at what exactly you mean by "forum background" and not "site background". Could you post a screenshot of "the forum background".
Thanks!

I think what you posted on how to change is what the user thinks of as the "site background"

if you look at both sites, if i change the background color to lets say grey, the forum where the topics and the categories are located. the color will be different

look at the ig-5.forumotion.com site and you will see what i mean

So what exactly do you want to do with the background?

i think he may be asking how to change the bodyline or table rows to images?

If it is only colors you want to change for them, then you can find that in your colors list for bodyline and table rows 1 2 and 3

if it is images you want to add in there then it would have to be done with css.
Code:

td.row1, td.row2, td.row3, td.row3Right { opacity: .100;
                            filter: alpha(opacity=)100;
                                    -moz-opacity: .100;
body

filter:alpha(opacity=100);
-moz-opacity:0.100;
-khtml-opacity: 0.100;
opacity: 0.100;
background-color: black;
background-image: url("YOUR DIRECT IMAGE LINK HERE");

  }

Then if you want to make it more translucent/transparent. you can check out this thread.
