(Only Topic!) New Editor
First topic message reminder :
Is there a way to opt of this new editor? If not is there a way to at least set the smiley's back to the old way. They are hard to see even with the mouse over feature. Any member we have with poor eye sight will not be able to use them. I ware glasses and it's hard for me to make head nor tails on the smileys.
Thanks in advance for a quick reply.
Edit:
A few solutions for the problems.

whitestarling1: I was able to send a private message perfectly without any problems. I am using the latest version of Google Chrome.

The thing is that in my forum I use a gray color as a base color for posts. (this color #808080)whitestarling1 wrote:There was an option for this in the admin panel but it appears that I can't find it anymore. Does switching editor modes help?
And if I have quick reply mode, the font is white for some reason, default color.
And most of my members doesn't know how to change editing mode, even if I explain to them.
How to change the default color then?

To change the font colour, please try adding this to your CSS:
Change the blue to a different colour if you wish.
- Code:
body, code:before, html, p, table {

Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
Internet Explorer Base, and I know the members who are having problems are also using IE, apologies for the slow answers Internet connection slow at the moment
Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
Base: I'm using IE and its hard for me to change because my familie wants te keep IE. But everything works fine for me before update editor. Now I have pm problems (and my members smilie problems)
Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
angel_of_night: Oh, remove the code then. I will continue looking for a solution.
whitestarling1: Then it seems to be an IE problem. Have you tried other browsers? I know it may not be ideal, but there are bound to be bugs present at this moment in time. And don't worry about it.
christien: See my above point. There is not much I can do if it is a problem related to IE.

It works fine with google chrome but not in IE
Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
If You use Chrome browser on tablets, android or phones, you will be able to see classic version of forum same as in computer , but in firefox browser you cant see buttons in quick reply and post reply. I didnt try with other mobile browsers like dolpfin, opera etc ...
Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
christien: Thank you for the information. I'm afraid there is not much we can do at this point if it's a browser-related problem.
All we can do is wait patiently for a fix. Don't worry, the team will be aware of this problem.

Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
As you say looks like an IE bug. I tried to reply to your PM everything froze up straight away. I had to close eveything down, and start again. I will try Google Chrome. I will leave it for now, and hopefully bugs will be sorted soon. If it helps others with the same problem. I have put a notification on our Forum advising them to use email contact option for the time being. Appreciate your help base

new editor is just cool, and we can make effects without need bbcode-code again.Like old Bold,Italic,Underline,Strike. And there is some new options,Current Time,Current Date. And with the colors....I like them.So many colors we can pick.So i just choose this new-styled editor.

Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
I hoped when I come online today that this forced beta test would be over, sadly enough not. All posting on my forum has stopped due to this new editor because code we've been using for years doesn't work anymore. This has practically screwed up my forum, the RP game and my member-base.
Why isn't it possible to make this new editor optional and give those that don't want to use it and/or that have severe problems with it the chance to revert to the old system? I'm no IT expert but using common sense would suggest that this would make everyone happy.
I hope something like this is done before I loose all of my remaining members.

Base, thanks for trying to be of help to the many admins who are puzzled by the new editor.
BUT I'm still wondering (and frankly annoyed) at the fact that Forumotion has decided to impose on us a BETA of this new editor, and on top of that, in this time and age, didn't even consider the large number of forum members who access the forums through mobile devices!!! This is just outrageous!
Don't you have beta testers to do the job before launching such an important change? Moreover, many of us have founded our forums with Forumotion (mine is more than 5 years old) because you provide free and fairly secure, efficient servers but most of all, 'cause it's a kind of "plug and play" way to easily set up one. Making us deal with code and complex instructions many admins and users don't handle, absolutely defeats the purpose.

Re: (Only Topic!) New Editor
Hello Godfather, :)My forum, http://watchermeet-up.forumotion.com/ is showing the editor perfectly in the Quick reply but the Post reply opens an editor with no buttons or anything. Just a blank text area and the editor button which doesn't do anything. My Forum is PhPBB and I wasn't sure if I needed to go make the code changes. Thank you for a great forum.
