Ranks
Yeah Hi there again! Uhm I went onto one of my forums and a new member had joined. I clicked on their name and there rank said Moderator. They weren't in the moderator group. So I went to the admin panel and to ranks. the Moderator rank wasn't even a rank yet. Then I checked their profile through the admin panel, scrolled all the way down to the special rank. It said "No special rank assigned."
Why is this happening?

Re: Ranks
If the rank name was " IceDragon " and the group name was " iceDragons" and you put a member in it, and you delete the group.. and the member is still an " icedragon " recreate the group , then put the member back in it...then kick him out again, then delete teh group again.
Re: Ranks
No it is "Moderator." I still have that group. I never deleted that rank. This member joined two days ago.

Re: Ranks
Is it possible that the rank has been modified under the rank administration tab to a post count number rather than a special rank?

Re: Ranks
What i saw, is that his groups permissions were not allowing them to see or do anything, so i would recommend is delete all teh groups and create them again and carefully read the permissions and check the right boxes.

You can check via ACP --> Users and Groups -->Rank Administration
Check to see if your moderator rank is a special rank and not a post count rank.

Hello,
Go to Admin Panel=>Users and Groups=>Group Administration. Click the next to moderator. Set group auto-subscribe to "No"

Derri is probably right here I have seen this happen so meany times and the only fix to this is to see what group is set to auto or the ranks Best thing to do is go thought all your ranks and see what is the one there set in.Derri wrote:Theforumcat wrote:hmm maybe

Don't worry this member should not have modding tools just the rank
Edit: If you like you can give me a test account with admin Account and i can go over this with you.
Note this must only be a test account that can be removed or the password changed when I'm done and this must only be sent By PM.
