Solved Question on New Text Editor

Post by Cin007 on Thu Jun 13 2013, 19:03

I use PHPBB2 and was having issues with the text editor on New Reply, New Topic, and Quoting a post.  There were no edit options and no smileys.

I followed the PUN steps here

http://help.forumotion.com/t124616-new-editor-for-forumotion-forums

when I should have followed the PHPBB2 instructions.

I didn't notice I had followed the wrong instructions until "after" I had removed the codes, well most of the codes.

The post editor appears to be working fine and the smileys are Now showing at New Reply, New Topic, and Quote reply.

My Question Is...do I need to go back in my Template/Posting_Body and put the codes back in and follow the instructions for PHPBB2 "or" will my forum be OK to leave it as is?

Thank you for any help. ; )

I think you should first revert back to the default templates. Then go and change it with the phpbb2 codes mentioned in the annoucement.

Thank you Sanket. †If I revert back to the default, will it "undo" any other codes that may have been added there?

And I'm not sure if I know where to set it back to default.

Yes, they will undo all the other codes you might have added earlier.

To revert it back to default, you need to click on the Delete corresponding to a published template.

Ohhh, so that won't delete the posting_body altogether? †It only deletes the edited template?

It reverts back to the default template of the skin. So all the modifications you did earlier, are gone.
