Why don't you ask on AvacWeb? Wink
They created the chat, after all.

It would be better to ask on Avacweb.

What didn't work? It's not hard to install, just make sure you follow all of the steps carefully and read what's going on.

After all your hacker problems and that moron trying to blackmail you into paying him you just going to give any one a temp admin pass to log into your forum. Have you not learned anything from that??? IDK man

Thread moved to scripts and codes by request of tdbnz

If you haven't figured it out yet here is my two cents...

For starters, and as others have said before me, I would suggest seeking help on AvacWeb. Not here.

I installed the AvacWeb Chat myself yesterday and at first experienced the same problem. However managed to fix it simply by double checking things... It was as simple as having forgotten to activate something. So here's what you should do...

  • Re-install. Make sure you copy over ALL of the code and don't change anything. Obvious maybe but that had been my first problem. I missed a bit of the code at the bottom.
  • On the Javascript page where it says 'Enable Javascript code management:' make sure you have selected 'Yes'. If its on no it wont work properly. Again simple but may have been missed. This was another thing I had overlooked (I made about a dozen little mistakes like this before finally getting it to work... I was being carelss).
  • On the chatbox configuration make sure you select 'Yes' for activating the chatbox. For the display you also want to select 'Do not display'.

So long as you have double checked all those and they are what they should be... well then your chat should be working. If its still not you should check it again because you may have missed something small and simple. Still cant get it up... Seek. Help. From. AvacWeb! They would be better suited to assist you.

And on a final note... basically as Kirk said... you REALLY shouldn't go about giving just anyone administrative privileges to your forum, ESPECIALLY after your whole "hacking" incident... I mean really... -_-
