Post by Cesar on June 23rd 2013, 2:35 pm

First topic message reminder :

Hello
 Hello everyone!I'm trying to input on my forum a slide Log In panel for BB3 , but the code work's only with BB2 and punBB.
 I search on forum , but i find only topic's that "finished" moved to Garbage or locked - no solution to this problem.
  Here is a link to the demo of the slide log in panel.If you need the codes , there they are:

  This code ~> overall_header
Code:

This is the reason why it will not work on a phpBB 3. Did you search the site where you got the codes to see if there is one for phpBB 3?

It will work on all versions, you need to use the codes from the topic Sanket linked you too. But in order for it to work on BB3 you need to rename the elements in the HTML, CSS and JS like I did here http://tikitiki.forumcroatian.com/# . Cause many of them already exsist in BB3 and that's why it wont work properly.

I don't really have the time to do it for you but I'll show you the start. If you get stuck someone else will continue. Adding to that you need to do bunch of more customisations (I don't know did I rename everything important), and add all your links in the codes::

1. Go to AP > General > Annonouncments > Activate > YES > Announcements block height: 10 > Display: Mark all pages > Than add this as a new annonouncment::

Code:
<!-- Login --><div id="toppanel">
<div id="panele">
<div class="contente clearfixe">
<div class="left">
<h1>Welcome to xCoDeZz</h1>
<h2>The Home of CSS, Wii, And PSP Codes</h2>
<p class="grey">Please Login or Register now! thank you</p>
<h2>Benefits of Registering?</h2>
<p class="grey">You will get unlimited access to the forums.</p>
</div>
<div class="left">
<center><h1>Login</h1></center>
<form class="c3" action="/login.forum" method="post">
<table class="c2" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1">

<tr>
<td align="right" width="45%">Username:</td>
<td><input name="username" size="25" maxlength="40" class="c1" type="text"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align="right">Password:</td>
<td><input name="password" size="25" maxlength="32" class="c1" type="password"></td>
</tr>
<tr align="center">
<td colspan="2">Log me on automatically each visit: <input name="autologin" checked="true" type="checkbox"></td>
</tr>
<tr align="center">
<td colspan="2"><input class="mainoption" name="login" value="Log in" type="submit"> <input name="redirect" type="hidden" value="/h1-redirect-page"></td>
</tr>

</table>
</form>
</div>
<div class="left right">
<form action="#" method="post">
<h1>Not a member yet? Register!</h1>
<br>
<center><a href="/Register">Click here to Register now!</a></center>
<center> You will be Redirected to the Login Page</center>

</form>
</div>
</div>
</div> <!-- /login -->

<!-- The tab on top -->
<div class="tab">
<ul class="login">
<li class="left"> </li>
<li>Hello Guest!</li>
<li class="sep">|</li>
<li id="toggle">
<a id="open" class="open" href="#">Log In | Register</a>
<a id="close" style="display: none;" class="close" href="#">Close Panel</a>
</li>
<li class="right"> </li>
</ul>
</div> <!-- / top -->

</div> <!--panel -->

2. Go to AP > Display > Colors > CSS (reupload the images links in the code so they are not hotlinked) and add this in it::

2. Go to AP > Modules > JS managment and make a new JS and mark all pages + add this in it::

Code:
$(document).ready(function(){$("#open").click(function(){$("div#panele").slideDown("slow");});$("#close").click(function(){$("div#panele").slideUp("slow");});$("#toggle a").click(function(){$("#toggle a").toggle();});});

That's about it plus you need to do a bit arround on what to display to guests what to users.

You have an example of it working on my phpBB3 test forum so it has to work on your side too.

There are 3 options::
1. You didn't set it right
2. You have a bad JS disabling sliding code
3. You did not do the step AP > Modules > Enable JS > YES

http://lemakdesign.forum.st/ I checked your forum and don't see you tried to install anything there?

You can check those 3 steps up if all is OK, if you are sure you did it right and it doesn't work send me a test account with admin access for me to take a look when I can.

Checked all options.
1. Set them again..
2. I had a old script that tryed to imitate this one (deleted it , still doesn't work)
3. It's activated.

You don't see it because i just disabled.If you want ACP acces , i warn you : is in romanian! But if you want , i can make a test account with ACP permission.

Now , come's the question for you : I make the account?

There is way tooo much JS instaled on your site for me to check every of it. Sorry.
Save them all in one post and first add the sliding panel JS. And after it add one by one the JSes you have installed. And control the slider to see wich stops it to work after every new scripts you add. You can delete the account.

You can add the HTML part (thats the one you added to annonouncments) to AP > Modules > Forum widgets managment > and than set the widgets permissions to be seen by guests only so you slider would be displayed only to guests. If you decide to do that delete this bit from CSS::

Code:
#fa_ticker_block {
height: 1px;
}

I can't see what is messed up if you remove it. I need to see it on your forum. It messes it up when you use it in a widget or? It works fine on my site when it's in widgets (it's in widgets now) so it has to work on your site too. Don't delete that CSS part unless you decide to add your HTML in widgets. No need to bump if you are bumping for me. I look at your topic when I come though that is not very often.

Try to please be a little respectful towards someone who is only trying to help you.

Keep the changes you have made as is mentioned by Nera, if you want her to help you. If not, you can remove the changes.

Also, edit the title of this topic & remove [bumped 16 times , still need help!]

If Nera considered i disrespect she , i am sorry.

That's not an error. If you activated your widgets it's logical a widgets place will appeare. If you have set it for guests only that "gap" will appeare for guests that's why you think it's messed up for guests only. And you want to keep the login and remove the space?
Since you removed the login again... this should work, though if it doesn't I need to see the "error" on your forum.

Add it to your AP > Display > Colors > CSS::

Code:
#content-container div#left {
width: 0px !important;
}

It's important that you put the code in the left column as same as before.
