moderator panel

Post by twi4yogi on November 5th 2006, 2:08 pm

It will be good if we have moderator panel for our site, same as admin panel, it will help moderator's to check site & can update through moderator panel. If other member's also agree with my suggestions, then plz vote for it.

Well, I think the idea's good, but I don't want it so I vote no.
I have a section (like here) where modoerators can post between them and they can do all I want them to do anyway.

lol no no caihlem i mean the panel seperately for moderator's 2 manage there forums & member's posting if need approval, moderator's can approve or reject it through panel it self. it will be gud one coz moderator's can handle their forum, the way they want. it will ease the work burden for owner's of the site.

"burden"
I wouldn't use that word. I've spotted a huge error on my board. Ofcourse, anyone of my moderators could easilly do the job. But I'm gonna do it. I'm the admin, therefore I signed up for it and wouldn't want anyone else doing it Cool

burden ur taking in wrong sense. its not possible for owner 2 handle the whole site, when we keep moderator's, we assign sum duties for them & 2 perform that duties, they need sum sorts of rights, which can be possbily done through mod panel, this way they can handle their part of forums easily without any restricitons. Are you understanding what im saying?

I think it would be a very useful idea. It will help Moderator's organize themselves, keep upto date and enter notes to revise what they have done.

I really like this idea. I think it would be better for a mod panel. Like where mods can like very updated info and they can view banned users and ip addresses.etc.

I think it's a good idea. But i think admins should chose if they want thier mods to use it or not. Also they pick what goes on the mod pannel. Also for the mod pannel mods will be able to ban people be in charge of ranks like to give ranks like bad forumer or something.

my main concern is if im not around and cant monitor the forum, moderators should do their own little thing too... aside from they also asked for it Smile

but their panel shouldnt be like admins---should be less permission, i say

a mod can split, delete, move and prune topics

if i wanted to actually give them something that wouldnt just keep them busy, i would make them an admin

mods should be able to add albums to the gallery..(or can they?)

In my forum ~ there are lots of groups using it ~ so everyone can talk with other groups, but every group has their own forum...

I would need every mod to be able to:
add sub-forums to their main forum
and add albums to their gallery category...

I vote no.

I don't think that Moderators need that much power and I personally would promote them to Admin if I really wanted all of their help.

I give my Moderators a Forum for Discussion, and they already have Moderator tools--- its all they need

Lol hey Vince.....Whats up? Lol...

I vote YES because instead of having the Tools list, they should have there own panel...They could help the Admins out with things and it would make the site even better..They could also work the forums like us Admins do....
