members posting in a topic to see hidden stuff

i honestly didn't know how else to explain this, but i've seen on some forums that a member opened a thread and 'hid' some stuff with codes and when a member posted in that topic they could see the whole post aka also the hidden stuff.
i don't know how to explain this, but i hope you understand and someone can help me with how to do this (:

Also the button with the red line above, if you click that it will generate hidden tags.

 Yep,

Then when someone comes along and posts something in that thread, they'll be able to see the hidden content.
