White Text/Unreadable Text in Forum

Post by jastolze on July 12th 2013, 6:31 pm

Hey, I'm the owner of a site called http://cow1944.forumotion.com/

I, and others are having an issue with responding to posts and quoting them. The text box appears, but all the text color itself is unreadable, unless you highlight it or select "Preview Post"

Here's a picture of what it looks like:

Note that the title of the topic works fine, but not the main portion of it.

Any help? I have a feeling it's white in text color, but am not sure on how to change it, and the only other admin wouldn't have made a change in the admin panel himself.

Thanks!

Well before the new editor, was your post box black?

As I think you have the text colour in the ACP set to white if that was the case.

You can change the colour of the editor by following the instructions in this thread posted by "Runawayhorses"

It should be the last post in the thread.

Thanks, but where would I add that code to? Anywhere? I see the CSS is mostly for chatbox stuff.

Code:
#message-box textarea {
color: #000000!important;
font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
width: 80%;
}

Add this in your Administration Panel -> Display -> Colors -> CSS

Sorry for the late reply. I added that code to the bottom, but still have the same error.

This will change the background colour

Code:
 div.sceditor-container textarea {
    background-color: #000000 !important;
}
div.sceditor-container {
    background-color: #000000 !important;
}

Code:
.sceditor-container iframe, .sceditor-container textarea {
    color: #ff0000 !important;
}

This will change the font colour

On both these scripts just change the #ff0000 in the second script and change the #000000 in the first script to the colours you wish to have them.

Oh and you add both of these to your CSS ACP --> Display --> Colors ---> CSS Spreadsheet

Paste at the bottom.

Thanks! This helped. I can see the text again! Very Happy
