In progress My Forum has been hacked

Post by Love_Me July 13th 2013, 9:56 am

I banned this user who hacked our site today. Unfortunately, when we perform certain tasks on the site like splitting a thread to make a new one their messages still pop up. We are not able to make new threads or see ones that were already made weeks ago.

When you click on certain threads this message comes up. It won't allow us to see any new posts or make new threads because of this hacker.

My Forum has been hacked Hacker10

and when you click on the x it sends you here:

Other then banning someone is there a way to take their messages off my site permanently and restore it to how it once was?

You can restore your forum before this happened - https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/ . The only thing is that you will lost any new messages created after the date you picked to restore the forum to. You can also lost new members when you do a full restore.

Thanks for leaving this topic open. I appreciate it.

When I tried logging in at the link you gave me, it says: The e-mail address you supplied does not match the one listed for that username.

I have only used one email and password since starting my Forum , so I don't understand why it wouldn't match. I tried my username on my Forum and that didn't work either.

Again, I really appreciate your help with this.

Hi,

So, you haven't changed your email at all? Is it the same you used when creating the forum?
