What's the code for putting a border color around the actual name text, to lighten it up a bit like it's done in the picture onkitsune and ramEMS name

That would be the text shadow property.

text-shadow: 0px 0px 6px #f00;

"0px=left/right 0px=bottom/top 0px=softness/glow #000=shadow color"

Either increment or decrement the value to move left/right. You can also apply a different color to multiple parts of the shadow.
