In progress User's Profile widget

Is there a way to make a widget that displays multiple profile names and their pictures, when you click on there picture or name it redirects you to there profile? i saw it on a couple of forums before but i cant seem to figure it out. ill attach an example.

I think its the login widget. But, it will only display a single profile of the user who is logged in.

How would i go about editing it so it displays users, i can also give a link to a forum that is using the widget i am talking about.

On invision type of forum, you can get those square shaped profiles on the memberlist page. If thats, what you are talking about.
