Solved Delete "Topic(s) being watched" bar, Notification Q's

Post by Mr. Eddster on August 24th 2013, 2:56 am

I was wondering if there's a way to delete/get rid of this "topics being watched" bar under your profile? i've scoured through CSS, templates cant seem to find anything deleteable for it... i dont want it. none of our users use that option, and i dont need any confusion

Secondly, I would like to delete all of the options that ARE in a red box! Is this possible? Again, its too avoid confusion for my users, as they wont need these notifications ever anyways. Is there a way i could just delete these options?

Thanks as always Wink

Hi, bye

Go to "Administration Panel ~> Modules ~> HTML & JAVASCRIPT ~> JavaScript codes management", create a new code and add:
Code:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("Friend requests")');
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("The incoming of a profile message")');
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("A new post in a watched topic")');
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("A request to join a group")');
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("A new report")');
$('#tabs li:contains("being watched")').remove();
});

hello!
the "topics being watched" bar is no longer there, so that code worked! However the check boxes are all still there! Confused

Sorry, my fault. Check this code:
Code:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("Friend requests")').remove();
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("The incoming of a profile message")').remove();
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("A new post in a watched topic")').remove();
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("A request to join a group")').remove();
$('form[name="notif_opts"] #checkboxes tr:contains("A new report")');
$('#tabs li:contains("being watched")').remove();
});
