Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
I have had this issue happen once before, yesterday but I thought nothing of it because it happened for a short period of time. However today it lasted a good 5-10 minutes.
I was browsing the support forums and I clicked onto go edit something in my profile and suddenly for no reason at all it took me to the log in page. I entered my log in information and clicked to continue. I was redirected to the same log in page I was previously at. However I was not given an error message saying I had entered an invalid password or username.
I then deiced to re-enter my username and password again and again, I got the same issue I was redirected to the log in page I was on but I was given no error message. I continued to try this but nothing was happening other than me being redirected to this log in page.
I then decided to request a new password, I entered my email and username and clicked to continue, the same thing happened above, I was refreshed and taken to the same page I was on and I had no error message.
I then tried to request a new password two more times, both resulting in what I described above.
I then out of a complete loss of what to do I clicked on the banner to take me back to the main board and somehow it logged me in randomly and I had access to my account. I then clicked my profile to go in and do what I intended to do and I found myself in the same situation I described at the start. It was saying I wasn't logged in.
I then entered my log in details again and got no error message, but I was redirected like I described above at the start of this message. I then clicked the banner a few times refreshing and I was suddenly logged into my account again and this time it let me stay logged in.
Overall this was very unusual and I was wondering what might have caused this. If anyone would care to maybe assist me in finding out why this might have happened.
Thank you.

I see, I used to have that issue as well. I did not experienced it yesterday. However, we'll let this thread run for a day or so to see how many members did experienced this. That way we can report this to TGF.

I think it might be random then e.g. it happens whenever.
As you experienced it but not at the time I did. So it might be random. I'm also eager to hear of anyone else who has experienced this problem.

Re: Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
Happened to me a couple times in the past but not that many times.
Not sure if it was something on my end, forumotions end or the browser.
what i did was changed browser and all was fine.
So yeah odd. only happened to me a couple times and this was a while ago. Thought may be it was just something on my end, but guess not? freaky.. lol

Re: Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
Well I'm using Chrome and I've never had this happen to me on any other forums or any other forumotion forums. Its good to know its not just me this is happening too and its also good to know its not just happening on chrome (if it is a browser issue) as from your profile Kirk it says you use Opera?
I'm not sure what this could be but I don't know if its something to do with the browsers or something on the support forum causing this.
I can't say its happened on any other forumotion forums, for me at least.

Re: Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
I had it happen last Friday, I believe. I clicked on the Graphic Design section, and all of a sudden I noticed I was logged out. I went to log in however, the same problem occurred that you've mentioned above. I was unable to log in for about 10 minutes, but noticed I was online in the 'who is online' portion of the forum. I was using Firefox at the time so I'm assuming this might be an issue for multiple browsers.
Re: Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
I have not had this issue, but today I have noticed that the support forum is taking a long time to load pages.

Re: Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
Today just after my last post at 12:10am GMT I experienced the same issue I described in my first post I was able to log on and then I'd be immediately logged off.
I tried a different browser - same issue
I cleared my cache on both browsers - same issue
I think the problem is getting progressively worse for me as this time I was pretty much locked out for around 10 minutes.

Ah, yeah. This just happened to me. I noticed when I went to edit my thread. I was able to log in again, as you can tell.

I can log in as well. However for a 10 minutes I was entering my log information and all it would do is refresh me and not actually log me in like I describe in my first post in this thread.
EDIT: Just had this problem happen again, this time thankfully it only lasted a minute.

This is a known issue, and was taken into notice by Leeloo, but we have not heard back from the techs about this.

Hi Jophy thank you for the feedback
I'm glad to know that it was a noticed issue and has been reported to the techs. I was wondering, could this be move to the "need a technician?" section so people know this is a known problem and can post in here if they feel its causing an issue for them.
I do hope the problem gets solved but I do understand that the techs are very busy.
Again thanks for the feedback

Is this also happening for you on the other forums?

I've not experienced this on any other forumotion forum. Its only happened to me on this support forum. However I'm not really active on many other forumotion forums currently apart from one and I haven't experienced the problem anywhere else.

Ok, we can't move this one because it's not yet appearing on most of the Forumotion forums, and it's only happening here, I'll just mark this as a 'pro admin' thread since it has been taken into notice already.

So, deleting the browser's cookies should solve this issue? I had this issue some months ago, last time I had it was like 4 days ago or so.

This happened to me yesterday. Clearing my browser's cache did solve the issue.

I cleared my cache one time when this happened and it didn't solve the issue for me. Although I will admit I haven't had this issue since I last posted in this thread.

This actually happened yesterday (strictly spoken, it would have been today) to me, too.
It happened at around 00:30, GMT +1 (CET), currently using Summer Time, so it might be GMT +2. If the date helps to resolve the problem, I provided it.
I haven't been on my PC yet, I'll see if clearing the cache solves this.

What browser are you using? As I find that Forumotion sites including this one, work better in Firefox than in Google Chrome.
I am actually using Pale Moon at the moment to post this.Which is a Firefox browser like Comet Bird is. Clearing the cache and deleting your browsing history also helps.

This happened again, today (06 June 2013) I was casually browsing the graphics section and I was suddenly logged out and couldn't log back in, again same problem I described in my original post.

You keep saying you clear the cache but what The Godfather suggested was to delete all cookies... which is two different things. So try deleting the cookies?

I have my settings set on chrome so when I delete my cache, it also deletes all cookies as well. I have done the advice on what the Godfather has told me to do but it doesn't help this issue. Also when I said, what I said, I was replying to SLGray. Either way both don't really work and the time frames that I'm locked out seem to be varying as well.

Yes I forgot about that. I don't often clear it myself.
Also just experienced the problem for myself and faced no assistance when clearing cookies/cache... so I can better see and understand the problem...

Re: Support Forums Issue --> Being logged out and unable to log in.
Today (9 June 2013)
It happened again, this time it locked me out for around 5+ minutes as I gave up trying after five minutes so I don't know how long it locked me out for. However before this it happened and I was able to log in almost immediately after
When it happened the section time I did this:
I cleared my cache and my browser cookies and even changed from Google Chrome to Internet Explorer 10 for windows 8 and again, same problem as I described above. No error message, no nothing.
This problem appears to be getting slightly more frequent.
Edit: It just happened again around 1:30pm GMT for around 5-10 minutes

Today, it happened to me as well.
at 11:57am - 12:00pm. (UTC-6) Chicago.
I cleared my cache, deleted my cookies, but that didn't seem to help. I tried logging on with different browsers, but the samething happened. The only way it seemed to be working was on my ipod.
