Hosting Swf Files on the forum.

After a lot of research, I found a site that allows uploading files, especially swf.

That is the link to the game above. I'm kind of a newb/noob when it comes to coding. How would I go about adding this to the forum so that it can be played on the forum/posts/threads? I want it so it can be visible.

Edit: I would like to have this resolved fairly soon, as I want to use these flash games to promote our forum and a particular series that will be airing within the next weekend.

You need the direct link to the swf file which should end in: .swf

I just read about that host, apparently when you upload a swf file you have the option to put it on a page with an embed code or they give you the direct link so you can embed it yourself, and an option for it to display in search results on their server. If you didn't get the embed code or the direct link after you uploaded it you might be out of luck, just like some cheap image hosts do. Unless you can somehow get back to the page when you first uploaded it, it doesn't look like you have very much control over the files you upload because you don't have an account, you get one shot at getting the direct url is how it looks to me. I'm  not even convinced you can put them on another page other than on their server.


You can host swf files on your own account and remote link to them at: http://members.webs.com/

They are a free website building host, but you need not build a website to host your files. You'll have limited storage for free, but you can increase it for a price.
