In progress Purchase of Permanent Storage

Post by TasV September 25th 2013, 11:54 am

I'm starting a new private forum that is for a colleague and I to interact with students in an educational program and we want them to be able to upload attachments of the work in response to tasks we give them. We want this to be a permanent storage solution. We know we can purchase extra storage space but this only lasts for one month. Is there a way we can purchase more storage and make it permanent without going to some external hosting option? We would like the students to be able to use the forum as a way of building up a portfolio of their work that is organised into their own personal forums but at this stage 20MB of storage is not very useful.

Hello TaSV,

Thank you for choosing Forumotion. Very good
When you create your forum you get 20MB storage space for free.  If you need more storage space, you should spend credit (example 500 Mb= 500 credits). However, the validity is only one month still the deadline.
After one month, you can increase the storage duration or storage space by spending credits.

Best regards

Thank you. I am a long time Forumotion user in various forms and the storage issue is something I have struggled with for years. I'm aware that I can purchase and spend credits etc to increase the storage level, however; I would like to be able to not only purchase extra storage but also a duration of up to a year so that my students are able to develop a portfolio of work and so I don't have to keep topping it up... it seems like a financial bottomless pit in this regard. Many students use dropbox... and that's fine... but I would really like to be able to have it integrated into the one package.
