In progress How to Log Back In after Restoring a Forum?

Post by Alma~ on September 29th 2013, 5:04 pm

Hi, I recently closed my forum down, and I brought it back up yesterday.

I went through the utilities (http://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/) and set everything up.
But when I try to log into my account on my forum, nothing works.
I only use one main password for any account I make, and I tried setting up
a different password in utilities, and tried logging in with that, nothing works.

It's back to my usual password now, I still can't log in.
I'm pretty sure my log-in attempts are almost up, so i thought I'd ask.
I tried doing the "forgot my password" thing, but I guess
"The security 'Disallow admin to send new password' is active in Admin Panel > General Admin > Security"

^I feel so dumb, ahaha.

So any ideas?

Can you log into the utilities? When you restore your forum your password is changed I think to the one you use to log into the utilities.

If you can log into your utilities then de-select the option to allow password resets for moderators and admin, you'll see the option in the utilities.

If you can't log into the utilities then follow this guide:

You sound like Case 4 so follow the instructions for that Very Happy
