Solved How to make hover over buttons black

Post by Rupture on October 7th 2013, 8:27 pm

Hello,

On my forum, http://joinswl.forumotion.com/ every time I hover over "log in" or "send" the inside letters turn white. Can you give me a CSS code to make it stay black when you hover over it? Thanks

When I hover over "login" the letters turn red, and I don't see a "send' button.

Not at the top, I mean the buttons like the Send on the forums. Go to the Log in page and when you hover over the "log in" button it turns white on the inside (not on the Register, that's fixed). It happens to the reply buttons on the forum too, all but the register button. And I'm not talking about the top menu.

Hello {LGO}*CF*Oscar,

Try this in your CSS stylesheet:
Code:

a.button1:hover, a.button2:hover, button.button2:hover, input.button1:hover, input.button2:hover {
border: 1px solid #666;
color: #000;
}

Strange, it doesn't work. Here is all the CSS I'm using, maybe one of the one I'm using isn't letting it work?

Spoiler:
fieldset dl:hover dt label {
color: #fff;
}
.inputbox:hover {
border: 1px solid #fff;
}

#page-header #search-box {
display: none;
}

.sceditor-container iframe, .sceditor-container textarea {
color: #000 !important;
}

a.button1:link{color:black;}

body.chatbox {
background-image: url('http://hqscreen.com/wallpapers/l/1920x1080/32/video_games_fallout_3_1920x1080_31902.jpg');
background-color: none;}

#wrap {
background-attachment: fixed;
background-image: url('URL IMAGE');
background-repeat: repeat;
background-position: top center;
}

div#page-header div.navbar {
background-image: url('URL IMAGE' );}

div#page-footer {
background-image: url('https://i70.servimg.com/u/f70/18/48/56/84/110.jpg');
background-position: top left;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
padding: 15px;}

.module {
background-image: url('https://i70.servimg.com/u/f70/18/48/56/84/110.jpg');
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top center;
border: 1px solid BLACK;}

.module .h3 {
color: white;}

body, a:hover {cursor: url(http://cur.cursors-4u.net/cursors/cur-9/cur866.ani), url(http://cur.cursors-4u.net/cursors/cur-9/cur866.png), progress !important;}

Rank Display
.rank1 {
display:none;
}

$(function(){
$('.postprofile dl').each(function(){
var theBox = $(this).children('dt:first');
var uNameX = theBox.children('strong').html()+'';
theBox.children('a').before(uNameX);
theBox.children('strong').hide();
});
});

.postprofile{
text-align:center !important;
box-shadow:1px 1px 3px rgba(0,0,0, 0.5);
}

a.button1:active, a.button1:link, a.button1:visited, a.button2:active, a.button2:link, a.button2:visited {color:#000;}

a.mainmenu {
filter:alpha(opacity=0.80);
opacity:0.8;
}
a.mainmenu:hover {
filter:alpha(opacity=200);
opacity:2;
}

a:hover {
color:#EEEEEE;
text-shadow:0px 0px 6px #ff0000;
}

a {transition:0.400s;}

$(function(){
if(document.getElementById('logout')) $.post('/chatbox/chatbox_actions.forum?archives','mode=send&sent=');
});

.linklist {
display:none !important;}

.right, .rightside {
display:none !important;}

dd.lastpost span, ul.topiclist dd.searchby span, ul.topiclist dd.info span, ul.topiclist dd.time span, dd.redirect span,

dd.moderation span {display:none !important;}

a.button1:hover, a.button2:hover, button.button2:hover, input.button1:hover, input.button2:hover {
border: 1px solid #000;
color: #000;
}

border: 1px solid #666!important;
color: #000!important;

Try with !important , and why you have javascripts on your CSS ?

It works now! And now sure what The difference is XP Are they not doing anything in there? To which ones are you referring? Sorry I'm a bit new to CSS and Javascript.
