You can send it to multiple users as well as groups, when you hit on New PM.

In addition to what Sanket said, you will have to watch out as your Outbox can only hold up to 50 messages at one time, so make sure you keep an eye on that as well when sending multiple PMs.

Correct, though what's unusual is with the auto welcome PM. On my forum, I have a single account used only for that. Currently its outbox is past the limit.

Last time I check there was 6 pages and there's 50 per page so that's about 300 messages waiting.

I'm sure that's either a minor bug, or intentional. I've never really sent 50+ messages at once, I'd ought to try it.

I went over the 50 limit and i was not happy!

I think it is related only to the welcome PM though and if you tried on that account to send a regular PM (not an automated PM like the welcome PM) you'd find it would hit an error.
